An at-home garden-party style wedding on Analogue Film
Grace and Ewan's home garden-style wedding celebrations on 35mm Analogue Film in South Wales
Grace & Ewan on 35mm film. 🎞️ Every now and then a wedding comes along that I just can't stop thinking about it even months afterwards, and this was one of those days. It'll be one I'll never forget.
They put this whole thing together within 6 weeks ahead of their move abroad, so this family home garden wedding will always be one of the most special days I've ever photographed (and it was done predominantly on analogue film too).
There was no faff no forced clichés, just deep personal vows to each other, soulful connections, intentionality, and a day where they just wanted to be themselves and have fun with their closest family and friends before they started a new life in France.
One of those days which just suits my personality and approach - being given the freedom by them to just do my thing and being able to immerse myself into this day, be a quiet observer to everything that was happening. Photographing it all predominantly on film always allows me to approach a wedding with a more slowed down purpose, as is the slightly slower nature of documenting on film.
(And for those film lovers out there - more proof that film isn't just for cool trendy Instagram bangers, it's for REAL moments. To me, looking back at the images, it makes the real moments feel even more real).
