Happy New Year! (is it still OK to say that on the 13th of January?
To kick off 2019, this will be the first in a series of wedding blog posts from last year's weddings. First up is Clare and Seth's super-chilled wedding from back in August. I had the feeling from Clare's initital email, when she mentioned that it would take place in two locations, that their wedding would be a bit different and after the first time I met them in a pub in Newport I just KNEW that they'd have a fun & killer wedding.
The ceremony took place at the gorgeous Mansion House in Newport in the lovely summer sun. This was followed by the journey up to Cockleford near Cheltenham, where the reception was held at the Green Dragon Inn, a place that means a lot to them as that's where they used to work together before settling back in Newport.
The Slideshow
Seth, originally being from South Africa, had specifically requested a song personal to them for their slideshow (something which I don't often do unless it really goes with the vibe/images in the slideshow) and watching it back I can't help but have a big smile on my face.

The Images
Below is a small selection of some of my personal favourites from the day. When Clare mentioned in her original email that "we are a pretty chilled out couple, we aren't going for an especially fancy wedding day!" she wasn't joking. As you'll be able to see in the photoss these two had one of the most relaxed wedding days you could possibly imagine. No formal shots, they wanted things as natural and fun as possible and just wanted to get on and have a big party with their friends and family in a place that means a whole lot to them. I really think that it shows in the images and it's so easy to see why they are together. (It was also the first of a few weddings last year where one of the couple 'made' me do a shot of jaeger!)
